the polder town of doel is threatened with complete demolition due to future enlargement of the Antwerp harbor. a ghost city with only a dozen of people still living there. strange atmosphere but beautiful site with lots of colour.

dandelion blue

dandelion flower grows in summer time, but on this photo the blue color reflects a winters feeling. did you know that the flowers leaves can be used as an antiviral agent or appetite stimulant? can be used dried, powdered or as root tincture.

under construction

i find this place fascinating. just like every other construction scene it has been a home to many for a long time. however, all that is left today is an open house, ready to be replaced. where others will find their new homes.
i like the fact that this pic is right in between. past, present and future happening at the same time!
